We Orthodox celebrate several "Saturdays of all souls" throughout the year. On these special Saturdays we pray for all the dead souls of all time, for those whom we know--- members of our families and our acquaintances---and for those whom history forgot, and those who have no one to pray for them, Orthodox and non-Orthodox alike.
In some traditions, these Saturdays are as many as 7, but all Orthodox traditions have at least 3 such days. One of these 3 is coming up on Nov 5 (at least according to the Slavic and Romanian traditions).

On this Saturday we at St. George will have a special memorial service (with the blessing of koliva) immediately before Vespers, at 5:30 pm. Please bring the following, if you wish:
- A list with the names of those fallen asleep in your own families or of friends, with the names written clearly in CAPITAL LETTERS (or typed) so that Father Silviu can commemorate each of them; or you can submit a prayer request form HERE: St. George Prayer Request Form
- Koliva;
- Any other food or drink which is commonly blessed on this day in your own Orthodox traditions
